Introduction
This privacy policy explains how Delm processes data when you install and use the app in your Shopify store.
Personal data we process
When you install Delm, we process the following data:
- Name: To identify you as the store owner or app user.
- Email: To contact you about app updates, support, and billing.
We do not process customer data except as described in the "automatic country detection" section.
Shopify API access scopes
Delm requires the following Shopify API scopes to function:

These scopes are used solely for app functionality.
Automatic country detection
If enabled, Delm temporarily processes customers' IP addresses to determine their location for accurate delivery estimates.
- IP addresses are not stored after geolocation.
- They are not used for tracking or profiling.
Cookies
Delm uses cookies to:
- Maintain your session and keep you logged in.
- Ensure proper app functionality.
We do not use cookies for tracking or advertising.
Data retention
- Billing information: Retained as required for financial records (e.g., tax compliance).
- Session data (cookies): Retained only while your session is active.
- API data: Synced in real time and retained only as needed for functionality.
We delete data that is no longer necessary.
Data hosting and payment processing
- Data hosting: Delm data is stored in Germany, ensuring compliance with European data protection regulations.
- Payment processing: Billing and payments are managed securely through Shopify.
All services involved comply with relevant data protection laws to ensure the security and privacy of your data.
